The workshop is on Torrington Avenue in Tile Hill, off the A45. Most of the city is fifteen minutes away, and the ring road means the far side of Coventry is rarely much further.
No obligation — we price it before anything is touched
Book your car inCoventry is a ring-road city and it shows up in the work. The A4053 loop and the A45 mean a lot of cars here do short, stop-start journeys with heavy braking and very little sustained running. That wears brakes and clutches faster than mileage alone suggests, and it is hard on a battery.
Short journeys also mean an engine that never fully warms. Oil does not reach temperature, moisture does not burn off, and on a diesel the particulate filter never gets the chance to regenerate properly. A car doing four miles to work and four miles back can be in worse shape at 40,000 miles than one that does motorway runs at 90,000.
The other half of the work is the opposite problem. Junction 2 of the M6 and the A46 put a lot of Coventry drivers on long commutes, and those cars arrive with different faults — worn suspension from the same potholes twice a day, tyres worn on the inner edges, and cambelts coming due on mileage rather than age.
We see both patterns every week, which is why the first thing we do is ask what the car actually does rather than just read the odometer.

Yes, Class 4 and Class 7. The retest is free if the car stays with us and is retested within ten working days, which is the DVSA rule most people never get told about.
Ours is £45. The DVSA caps a Class 4 MOT at £54.85 and has done since 2010, so anyone charging more than that is breaking the cap, and anyone advertising £20 is usually looking for repair work.
Yes, across the CV postcodes. Tell us where you are when you book and we will arrange it.
No. Under Block Exemption rules a manufacturer warranty stays intact when an independent services the car, provided the right parts go in and the book is stamped. We do both.
We collect and return across all of these from the Torrington Avenue workshop.
